More Than Thread: A Story of Conscious Craft.
Alpaca knits crafted with Andean artisans, honoring people, land, and time.

We privilege hand work above all. From delicate hand-knitting and refined crochet to the precise interventions of artisanal knitting machines, each gesture matters: the tension of the yarn, the rhythm of the stitch, the subtle adjustment that turns a sample into a lasting form. Hand-embroidery and manual finishing are applied where nuance and individuality are required, ensuring every piece carries a maker’s signature impossible to reproduce at scale.

Our collaborations extend across the Andean communities where these practices are living traditions. We work side-by-side with master knitters and emerging makers to maintain dignified work, to safeguard knowledge transmission, and to apply sustainable methods that respect both people and place. Ethical sourcing, careful lot-control, and thoughtful sampling ensure color fidelity and material honesty from the first swatch to the final garment.

Design development at Raffa Molina is a patient process. Sketches, tactile experiments and technical samples are tested and refined in dialogue with artisans. Samples are assessed not only for fit and proportion but for hand, drape and longevity; manual tests and finishing protocols secure the sculptural line that defines our knitwear.

Materials define the soul of our work. We knit exclusively with superfine baby alpaca and long-staple Peruvian Pima cotton, chosen for their softness, resilience, and natural warmth. Together, these fibres create breathable, structured knits that drape with ease and soften beautifully over time.
